Sponsor a Child

In the context of South Africa in which crime is rampant, ECDs become very important to the healthy development of the next generation.

It has been illustrated in many cases that "the first one thousand days in a child’s life could hold the key to unlocking his/her life-long potential. By the age of 5, almost 90% of a child’s brain will be developed."

Mental and emotional development is influenced by cognitive processes as well as social interaction.

In as much as South Africa recognises the need for ECDs, the major challenge that still embattles ECDs is the question of accessibility.

Many families work tirelessly to make ends meet in communities such as Nyanga but continue to struggle to provide safe spaces for their young ones while they are working.

Inkwenkwezi and Khanyisa aim to bring this to the community in an accessible manner but this is not always possible.
